ACPSRO takes on The Public Sector Informant and the Grattan Institute

ACPSRO has published a letter in the Canberra Times in response to an article in The Public Sector Informant and an article by the Grattan Insitute about the adequacy of Australia’s retirement incomes and the fairness or not of using the CPI to index the age pension and other pensions.  ACPSRO’s letter highlights the unfairness of the use of the CPI to index pensions because the CPI uses prices adjusted (downwards) for (un-reported) “quality improvements”.
